You may come to Scottsdale on July 10, the day before the conference begins, to go on a trip to Sedona. Or, you may take the trip on July 13. The trip is explained below. If you do participant in the July 10 trip, come to the conference registration desk between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Thursday morning to register before you go on the trip.
The same trip will be repeated after the conference, On July 13.
Pre- or post-conference trip to Sedona

Below is the tour guide's description of the trip. If you want to go on the Sedona tour, you will pay the fee for the trip when you fill out the registration form.
We will depart from the Embassy Suites Scottsdale at 10:00 a.m. On the trip to Sedona, we will stop at Montezuma Castle National Monument, a pre-historic Sinagua cliff dwelling, one of the best preserved in the area. Our guides will pay the admission and provide a walking tour of the Monument.
During the trip, we will tour through the Sonoran Desert to the Red Rock country of Sedona. The tour guides will narrate about the history, geology, flora and fauna of the area as you travel. You will hear about our prehistoric people that inhabited this desert, how they lived, worked, and played, leaving behind their marks in stone, pueblos and cliff dwellings. You'll learn about our early pioneers that ventured into this desert area, why they came, and how they co-existed with the native people.
We will arrive in Sedona about 1 p.m. Upon arriving in Sedona, our guides will provide historical information about the area including the prehistoric peoples that inhabited this beautiful area as well as the native people who followed. The historical information about the pioneers will also be part of the narration. Then there will be some free time for lunching, taking one of our optional vortex jeep tours or back country jeep tours, or visiting the many Sedona galleries to shop.
We will then travel from the Sonoran Desert to the grassland plateau then into the pinon and juniper forest climate zone of Sedona. You will hear about the diverse geology and climate of Arizona.
As you travel into the red rocks of Sedona our guides will talk about the energy of the area. The vortexes located in Sedona will be pointed out as you arrive in the area.
About 4:00 p.m. our guides will provide a tour up to Airport Mesa, one of the energy areas located in Sedona. It also has a 360 degree view of the whole area for great photos and, for those interested, a great place to get grounded with mother earth and meditate.
At about 5:00 p.m. the tour will depart Sedona and arrive back at your hotel about 6:30 to 7:00 p.m.
